This year, more media companies in Thailand are expected to jump on the online media bandwagon as a result of digital disruption which alter the consumer reading behavior and business models of media companies.
Media companies that were unable to grapple with the change of readership behavior that overwhelmingly favoured online media and social media as the go-to channels for news, content and information will eventually cease operation. Others will adjust their business models, create content that meet the needs of their audiences and identify channels to amplify their reach.
